Natural Stone

Introduction

Natural Stones are usually quarried from the earth and can be machine gauged for thickness.

Our Selection

Marble:

Marble is a metamorphic stone that is created from the heating and crushing of limestone by the earth over millions of years. This process causes crystallization of the stone and many minerals absorb into it, enabling marble to achieve a highly reflective, polished finish.

We carry a range of marble in tile form suitable for floor or wall applications as well as slabs for vanities. Marble is also available in many mosaic patterns and designs.

Granite:

Granite is an igneous stone which is derived from magma that is cooled beneath the earth’s surface. When minerals are added into the cooling stone it produces a wide array of colors and crystalline textures. It is the hardest stone of the collection and is most widely used due to its ability to remain beautiful while enduring punishing use.

We carry a range of granite in tile form suitable for floor or wall applications as well as slabs for countertops or vanities.

Limestone:

Limestone is a sedimentary stone which is formed over millions of years from the remains of dead animals and usually from bodies of water. These calcium-rich remains are crushed by the earth under immense pressure into limestone.

We carry limestone in tile form suitable for floor or wall applications.

Travertine:

Travertine is derived from limestone that has been heated, crushed into marble, then broken up and pushed through the earth’s crust by water. The evaporation of the water at the surface leaves behind deposits of crystals in layers. A noticeable feature of travertine is the little holes caused by the water action.

We carry travertine in tile form suitable for floor or wall applications, as well as many mosaic patterns and designs.

Slate:

Slate is a fine-grained stone derived from shale which itself is created through heat and pressure from beds of clay. Slate exists in layers which, when split, reveal a natural cleft surface. Characteristics of this stone are moisture resistance, natural cleft surface, and a wide variation in color.

We carry slate in tile form suitable for floor or wall applications as well as slab form for countertops. Slate is also available in many sizes in mosaics and listello accent pieces.

Stone/Composite Sinks:

A beautiful touch to accent your “natural” bathroom décor. Different styles and sizes available.
